Rockers Closet features a stylish mix of hand-picked garments, worn and refurbished as thrift couture. Most items (apparel, shoes, accessories) range $1-20.
Where does our stuff come from?
Items come from Mexico, South Africa, Jamaica, Trinidad, and the US, among other countries. Items were also accumulated from touring the country with ROCKERS! musicians, most notably Gdag (Girlsdressedasgirls) where we scouted each town's thrift shops. We buy items, receive donations, and also make donations to other organizations.
How We Work
Founded by drummer/bassist Rebecca R, a fashion designer, teacher, and musician in Philadelphia, Rockers Closet also buys items from the general public. To Donate or sell (30/70 cash or 50/50 store credit) your stylish items please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for an appointment; Donation walk-ins & dropoffs are also welcome. We do Straight trades- trading in your clothes from home for new clothes of similar value in store.
Alterations are done in-house, as well as custom made items. Rockers Closet also provides a 2nd collection of clothing that can be rented/used to sponsor your performance art, theatre productions, photo shoots, videos, films, etc.
All photos/style images are done in house and in partnership w/ RC.
